ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police teams from Kohsar, Karachi Company, Golra and Shalimar police stations have arrested 10 accused belonging to five motorcycle theft gangs, including the interprovincial “Rahat” gang, and recovered 19 stolen motorcycles worth millions of rupees.
Multiple cases have been registered against the arrested accused, while further investigation is underway. During preliminary investigations, the accused confessed to their alleged involvement in several motorcycle theft incidents.
Following the special directions of DIG Islamabad Ali Waseem, Islamabad Police has intensified its crackdown against accused involved in theft, robbery, street crime and other serious offences across the federal capital. Effective operations are being carried out to apprehend criminal elements and prevent crime.
DIG Islamabad directed all officers to further intensify operations against criminal elements involved in depriving citizens of their valuable belongings and ensure their arrest.
Islamabad Police urges citizens to cooperate with the police in eliminating crime and immediately report any suspicious activity or person to the relevant police station or emergency helpline Pukar-15.
