ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have arrested 10 outlaws during a massive crackdown against criminals. According to details, SSP Operations Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanveer had directed all zonal SPs to launch a massive crackdown against drug pushers and criminals.
Following these orders, PS Aabpara apprehended two bootleggers namely Safeer Masih and Ayub Masih and recovered 19 wine bottles from their possession. PS Ramna arrested accused Ejaz involved in theft. Margalla police arrested accused Muhammad Bashir involved in theft.
PS Tarnol busted 3 accused namely Jan Sher, Tariq Khan and Sher Ali and recovered 2.540 kilogram hashish and 40 liters liqour from their possession while police team also arrested 03 accused Muhammad Aamad, Ehsan Raza and Shakeel involved in illegally oil selling. Cases have been registered against them and further investigation is underway from them. During a Special crackdown against professional alm-seekers and their handlers, the police team arrested 8 alm-seekers including a handler from different areas of the city. DIG Operations Afzaal Ahmed Kausar and SSP Operations Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanweer appreciated the performance of police officials. SSP Operations said that Islamabad Police will continue crackdown against those involved in drug peddling activities.
Eight busted as cops continue
action against land mafia
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have arrested 08 persons as they continued their campaign against land mafia in the city. He said that the crackdown goes on across the district simultaneously.
According to the details, Inspector General Police Islamabad Qazi Jamil ur Rehman had issued directions to the concerned officers to take action against those involved in illegal occupation of land of innocent citizens. Following these directions, the police moved against the accused and arrested 08 members of the land mafia during the past week. Police station Bhara Kahu, Sihala, Tarnol, and Lohi Bher moved against the culprits on different complaints by the citizens and lodged 4 cases against them. Bhara Kahu police arrested Shah Muhammad Baloch and Mir Chakar, Sihala police arrested Khurram, Lohi Bher police arrested Arooj Javed Butt, Shahid Javed, Muhammad Imran and Muhammad Arif Hussain while Tarnol police arrested one Hazrat Muhammad.
IGP Islamabad Qazi Jamil ur Rehman and DIG Operations Afzaal Ahmed Kousar have appreciated the police performance. The DIG said that action was being taken against those spreading terror in the society. He said such people don’t deserve any leniency as they destroy peace and illegally occupy others’ land. He said immediate action is being taken on the complaints of illegal occupation of property and the lands are being retrieved from their possession.
