ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops, while operating against anti-social elements, arrested 10 outlaws and recovered stolen motorbikes, wine, weapons and a dagger from their possession.
According to details, IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan ordered crackdown against criminal elements. Following these orders, DIG Operations Waqar-Ud-Din Syed directed all zonal officers to accelerate their efforts to curb the crime in the city.
Thus, SP Saddar Zone Sarfraz Ahmed Virk constituted a police team under the supervision of DSP Khalid Mehmood including PS Tarnol’s SHO Arshad Ali, ASI Muhammad Saqib along with other officials, who successfully arrest two members of A bike lifter gang. The crooks were later identified as Muhammad Ibrahim and Muhammad Rizwan and recovered stolen motorbike from their possession. A case has been registered against the accused while further investigation is underway from them.
Similarly, PS Shalimar and PS Karachi Company apprehended two bootleggers including a foreigner namely Prince kaluri and Raheel Pitres and recovered 50 liters of alcohol and 40 cans of beer from their possession. Furthermore PS Shahzad Town busted two bike lifters namely Farzand and Adeel and recovered stolen motorbike from their possession. PS Koral team caught accused Muhammad Akhtar and recovered a 30-bore pistol along with ammunition from him. PS Sabzi Mandi, on the other hand, apprehended three accused namely Dolat Khan, Kamran and Gul Naeem, residents of Afghanistan. Cops also recovered two pistols along with ammunition and dagger from their possession. Separate cases have been registered against the accused and further investigation is underway from them.
DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed has appreciated the overall performance and directed all police officials to ensure effective policing measures in their respective areas.
