IG Islamabad awarded Shujaat and Ghazi medals to the Ghazis of Islamabad Police and presented them with certificates of appreciation. On this occasion, the families of the Ghazis of Islamabad Police were also invited.
Addressing the ceremony, IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi expressed that we all bear the responsibility of a sacred oath to safeguard the lives and property of our people. To honor and uphold this solemn commitment, we must be prepared to make sacrifices and even embrace martyrdom in the line of duty. When one achieves the esteemed status of a martyr or a Ghazi, they earn the favor of Allah. You, the Ghazis, are the embodiment of Allah’s pleasure, bearing His seal of approval upon your valorous deeds.
He also paid tribute to the parents of the Ghazis for raising and training their brave sons. He further said that despite being severely injured and physically disabled in the line of duty, we will continue to perform our duties in this way for the life and property of the people and to uphold our oath. We will never allow a poor and oppressed person to be humiliated in front of the powerful. IGP Islamabad, while giving a message to the entire police force, said that under no circumstances will we allow criminal elements to ruin people’s lives. We will not let the miscreants take the law into their own hands. We have to protect foreigners and ambassadors. You have to make your patrols effective. Identify the criminal elements, counter them, and maintain the law and order of the federal capital.
At the end of the ceremony, IG Islamabad saluted the Ghazis and their families on behalf of the entire police force.
