11 held, stolen bikes, drugs’ cache recovered

ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops on Tuesday arrested 11 outlaws from various parts of the city and recovered two stolen motorbikes and cache of narcotics as well as weapons from their possession.
Acording to details, following the directions of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfqar Khan and DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed, all officials of Capital Cops, have accelerated their efforts to curb activities of anti-social elements and drug pushers.
PS Bara Kaho arrested two drug peddlers namely Faisal and Ali and recovered 1260 grams hashish, 250 gram heroin and 52 gram ice from their possession. PS Industrial Area apprehended two bike lifters namely Waseem and Sanwal and recovered stolen motorbike from their possession. PS Sabzi Mandi caught another bike lifter identified as Aziz and recovered stolen motorbike from him. PS Shams Colony nabbed two accused Shah Muhammad and Rizwan and recovered two 30 bore pistols along with ammunition from their possession. PS Shahzad Town busted accused Waseem Aabbas and recovered one 30 bore pistol from him. Koral police team apprehended three accused Haza, Aamir, and Waleed and recovered three 30 bore pistols along with ammunition from their possession. Separate cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them.
DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed has appreciated this performance and directed all Station House Officers for effective crackdown against those involved in drug peddling activities. He asked for renewed efforts to curb such practices and get rid of society from such menace. He said that performance in this regard would be reviewed on continuous basis. DIG also categorically asked all police officials to focus on resolving the public complaints and take every possible step to provide maximum relief to citizens.
