-Cache of wine, fireworks recovered

ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops, in a bid to tighten noose around anti-social elements, put 11 behind bars, while recovering cache of wine, beer, narcotics, fireworks and weapons from their possession.
According to details, IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan ordered crackdown against criminal elements. Following these orders, DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed has directed all zonal officers to accelerate their efforts to curb the crime in the city. Following these directions, SP Saddar Zone Muhammad Sarfraz Virk constituted special team under the supervision of PS Ramna’s SHO SI Tariq Rauf and ASI Haider Ali along with other officials, which successfully arrested a Nigerian woman Zanib and recovered 196 cans of beer from her. A case has been registered against the accused while furher investigation is underway.
SP City Zone Omer Khan, on the other hand, constituted a special police team under the supervision of DSP Hakim Khan including PS Bara Kaho’s SHO SI Shoukat Mehmood Abbasi, ASI Gahoos along with others police officials, which arrested accused Muddsar Nazer and recovered huge cache of firework from him. Case has been registered and further investigation from him. Similarly, PS Khanna team apprehended two accused Amin and Azad and recovered two 30-bore pistols from their possession. PS Aabpara booked two accused Yasir Javed and Shahbaz Massih and recovered 15 liters alcohol ad 20 tcans of beer from their possession. PS Banigala nabbed accused Noor and recovered one 12-bore gun along with ammunition from him. PS Margalla apprehended two bootleggers namely Nazeer and Adil Masih and recovered 30 liters of wine from him. PS Nilore, on the other hand, booked an accused Zohaib, involved in decating gas in cylinders illegally. PS Secretariat busted accused Sajjad and recovered two wine bottles from him.
Separate cases have been registered against the accused while further investigation is underway. Moreover, during special crackdown against absconders, seven proclaimed offenders and court absconders were rounded up from various parts of the city. DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to ensure effective policing measures in their respective areas.
