11th batch of Friend of Police Internship Program kicks off

ISLAMABAD: 11th batch of the “Friends of Police” internship program organized by Islamabad Traffic Police has been formally launched.
A total of 30 students from Iqra University have joined this internship program. The students will receive training on traffic laws, road safety and various aspects of policing.
On the special directions of Chief Traffic Officer Islamabad Captain (R) Syed Zeeshan Haider the students visited the Islamabad Traffic Headquarters on the first day, where they were briefed on the working procedures of the department.


The ITP education wing guided the students through different branches of the traffic police including the licensing branch, central control room, education unit and other key departments.
Similarly, participants were also briefed on the modern technology equipped traffic management system, the digital licensing process and the automated system for issuing fines.
On this occasion, the students appreciated the technical advancements, transparency and public facilitation efforts of the ITP and expressed their commitment to working with the department in the enforcement of traffic laws, awareness campaigns and the promotion of road safety.
CTO Islamabad stated that the program will continue in phases during which students will also visit other divisions of Islamabad Police including security, crime investigation and community policing to help them gain a broader understanding of policing operations.
This initiative by the Islamabad Traffic Police is a significant effort to engage the younger generation with law enforcement departments and to foster civic awareness.
