12 caught, 8.7 kg narcotics, weapons recovered

ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops caught 12 criminals from various parts of the city and recovered heroin, hashish, wine as well as weapons from their possession.
According to details, IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan ordered crackdown against criminal elements. Following these directives, DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed directed all zonal officers to accelerate their efforts to curb crime in the city.
As par directions, SP Rural Farooq Amjad Butar constituted a special team under the supervision of DSP Rukhsar Medhi including SHO PS Lohibher SI Shahid Zaman and SI Qasim Zia along with other officials. The given team successfully arrested drug peddler namely Shah and recovered 5.264 kilogram heroin from him. A case has been registered against him and further investigation is underway from the accused.
Moreover, SP City Omer Khan constituted a special team under supervision of ASP Ayesha Gul including SHO Kohsar police station, Sub-Inspector Shabbir Tanoli, Sub-Inspector Nawazsh Khan along with other officials which successfully arrested three drug peddlers namely Ziafat, Sajjad and Kashif and recovered a total of 3.515 kilogram hashish from their possession. PS Aabpara busted two bootleggers Kawish Masih and Indriyas Masih and recovered 30 wine bottles from their possession. PS Karachi Company nabbed accused Qaisar Yaqoob and recovered seven wine bottles from him. Homicide Unit of police recovered a 30-bore pistol from the possession of accused Shoaib while PS Shamas Colony booked Waseem and recovered a 30-bore pistol from him.
PS Khana, on the other hand, arrested accused Abdullah and recovered one 9mm pistol along with ammunition from him. Similarly, PS Sihala apprehended accused Aaqib Javed and recovered a 30-bore pistol from him. Separate cases have been registered against the accused while further legal proceeding are underway against the accused.
DIG Operations Islamabad Waqar-ud-Din Syed has appreciated the performance and directed all police officials for high vigilance and monitoring against those involved in anti-social activities. He said that it is the collective responsibility of every person of the society to remain alert against those involved in criminal activities in their surroundings and to inform police for action against them.
