12 caught, drugs & arms recovered

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital Police apprehended 12 outlaws from different areas and recovered drugs and weapons with ammunition from their possession.
Following the special directions of IGP Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad capital police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directives, the Kirpa police team arrested an accused namely Malik Shahzad Rabbani and recovered one 30 bore pistol with ammunition from his possession. Likewise, the Sihala police team arrested an accused namely Choudhary Shahbaz and recovered 9mm ammunition from his possession. Lohi Bhair police arrested an accused namely Nayaz Muhammad involved in illegally selling petrol and recovered 50 liter petrol from his possession. Similarly, Industrial Area Police arrested an accused namely Arbab Shoukat and recovered 173 grams of hashish from his possession. Noon police team arrested two accused namely Zabi Ullah and Muhammad Tariq involved in illegally gas filling. Moreover, the Shams Colony police team arrested two beggars namely Manzoor Hussain and Shaban Ali. Karachi Company police team also arrested an accused namely Alyas Khan involved in begging in public places.
During the crackdown against proclaimed offenders and court absconders police teams arrested three absconders from different areas of the city. Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway. IGP Islamabad directed all senior officials for effective crackdown against the accused involved in drug peddling possessing illegal weapons. The performance of police officials in this regard would be reviewed on a continuous basis, he maintained.
