Islamabad: Islamabad Capital Police apprehended 12 outlaws including four professional beggars from different areas of the city during the last 24 hours and recovered liquor, drugs and weapons with ammunition from their possession.
Following the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital Police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directions, the Margalla police team arrested two professional beggars. The Sumbal police team arrested a lady drug peddler namely Soman and recovered 1100 gram heroin from his possession.
Likewise, the Tarnol police team arrested an accused namely Haris Shah possessing illegal weapon and recovered 12 bore rifle from their possession. The Shams Colony police team arrested two accused namely Muhammad Chan Zaib and Muhammad Shahzad involved in drug peddling and recovered 800 gram hashish from their possession. Similarly, the Kirpa police team arrested two professional beggars. The Sihala police team arrested an accused namely Yasir Mehmood involved in illegally selling petrol.
Moreover, the Shahzad Town police team arrested three accused namely Afzaal Ahmad, Hassnain and Saad Mehmood and recovered 1075 gram hashish and two liquor bottles from their possession. Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
