13 booked, drugs & arms recovered

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital Police apprehended 13 outlaws from different areas and recovered drugs and weapons with ammunition from their possession.
Following the special directions of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad capital police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directives, the Aabpara police arrested an accused namely Shaheen Khan and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession.
Likewise, the Industrial Area police team arrested an accused namely Muhammad Awais and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession. Similarly, the Sabzi Mandi police team arrested three accused namely Shan, Sharif Ullah and Sohail Ahmad involved in illegally gas filling. Sabzi Mandi police team also arrested an accused namely Muhammad Gul and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession. Moreover, the Shams Colony police arrested an accused namely Dayar Khan involved in illegally gas filling. Noon police team also arrested two accused namely Ahmad Umar and Jand Ullah involved in illegally gas filling.
Furthermore, the Sihala police team arrested an accused namely Muhammad Adnan and recovered 1240 gram hashish from his possession. During the crackdown against proclaimed offenders and court absconders police teams arrested three absconders from different areas of the city. Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
IGP Islamabad directed all senior officials for effective crackdown against the accused involved in drug peddling possessing illegal weapons. The performance of police officials in this regard would be reviewed on a continuous basis, he maintained.
