ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have arrested 13 outlaws including two criminals gangs from different areas of the city.
Following orders of the IGP Islamabad Muhammad Ahsan Younas had categorically ordered to the all zonal officers to continue massive crackdown in the city to eliminate the crime in the city.
Following the orders, a police team of Kohsar police station headed by SHO Kohsar SI Shabbir Ahmad Tanoli with officials arrested four members of a snatchers’ gang identified as Muhammad Ali, Baqir Ali, Sharif Ullah and Faraz Masih. Two pistols and snatched cash was also recovered from the accused. The gang members’ have confessed their involvement in dozens of snatching incidents in the whole city, further investigation is underway.
Furthermore, Koral police team headed by SHO Koral Muhammad Azeem Minhas with other officials arrested a snatchers’ gang comprising four accused namely Rohit Masih, Mudassir, Ali Hasnain and Sardar Abdullah and recovered three mobile phones and a pistol. The accused were involved in snatching mobile phones at gunpoint in twin cities, further investigation is underway.
Likewise, Secretariat police team has arrested Muhammad Bilal and recovered fake currency notes of five thousand rupees. Sabzi Mandi police team arrested a drug peddler namely Abdullah and recovered 170 gram hashish. Shalimar police team arrested an accused namely Chaand and recovered two mobile phones and laptop while Tarnol police team also recovered one 30 bore pistol from an accused Sultan Khan.
Cases against all the arrested accused have been registered and further investigation is underway.
Muhammad Ahsan Younas emphasized that Islamabad police would not leave any stone unturned to save the life and property of the citizens adding that Islamabad police is taking many steps to facilitate public.
The IGP directed all the police officials to adopt courteous attitude with the complainants visiting police stations and accomplish their responsibilities in a professional manner.
