ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops, while operating against anti-social elements, arrested 13 outlaws including a member of street criminal gang, and recovered narcotics and weapons from them.
According to detais, following the directives of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfqar Khan, DIG Operations issued directions to all zonal officers for renewed efforts against those involved in anti-social activities. Thus, SP Saddar Zone Muhammad Sarfraz Virk constituted a police team under the supervision of PS Shalimar’s SHO Inspector Arshad Ali including ASI Muhammad Abbas along with others, who succeeded to arrest a member of some street criminals’ gang, identified as Sher Khan Alias Multani, and recovered one 30 bore pistol along with ammunition used in crime. A case has been registered against the accused at PS Shalimar and further investigation is underway from him.
Moreover, SP City Circle Omer Khan constituted a special anti-drug police team under the supervision of DSP Hakim Khan including PS Bara Kaho’s SHO SI Shokat Mehmood Abbasi along with others officials. The given team nabbed 3 accused Syed Arslan Ali, Adeeb Kiyani, and Irfanullah and recovered two 30 bore pistols and 315 gram hashish from him.
Meanwhile, PS Industrial Area apprehended Arslan Hussain and recovered 1.258 kilogram hashish from him. PS Ramana booked accused Zain and recovered a 30-bore pistol along with ammunition from him. PS Sabzi Mandi busted accused Saddam Hussain and recovered 300 gram hashish from him. PS Noon, on the other hand, caught accused Nawab Ali and recovered a 30-bore pistol along with ammunition from him while PS Shams Colony busted accused Zahoor Khan and recovered 120 grams hashish from him.
Similarly, PS Nilor arrested accused Yousaf Masih and recovered 140 gram heroine from him. PS Sihala busted accused Khawer Abbas and recovered an iron punch from him. Separate cases have been registered against the accused while further investigation is underway from him. Moreover, during special checking in the Capital, cops also rounded up two proclaimed offenders and court absconders.
DIG Operations Islamabad has said that the social evils would be curbed and those backing drug peddlers and professional beggars would be dealt with iron hands. He further emphasized that the given campaign would continue till elimination of all anti-social elements at large.
