14 busted, drugs & arms recovered

ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops apprehended 14 outlaws from different areas and recovered drugs and weapons with ammunition from their possession.
Following the special directions of Inspector General of Police Islamabad, the Islamabad capital police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directives, the Karachi Company police team arrested an accused namely Shahbaz involved in bootlegging and recovered 12 bottles liquor from his possession. Likewise, the Secretariat police team arrested an accused namely Munawar and recovered 535 gram hashish from his possession.
Similarly, the Phulgran police team arrested two accused namely Muhammad Javed and Muhammad Israr and recovered one 30 bore pistol and 1105 gram hashish from their possession. Kirpa police team arrested an accused namely Shafqat Ali and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession.
Moreover, the Noon police team arrested an accused namely Ikram Ullah and recovered one 30 pistol from his possession.
During the crackdown against proclaimed offenders and court absconders police teams arrested eight absconders from different areas of the city. Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
IGP Islamabad directed all senior officials for effective crackdown against the accused involved in drug peddling possessing illegal weapons. The performance of police officials in this regard would be reviewed on a continuous basis, he maintained.
