14 caught, drugs & arms recovered

ISLMABAD: Islamabad Police is conducting an effective crackdown in the federal capital to ensure the safety of citizen’s lives and property by curbing crime and arresting criminal elements.

In this regard, police teams from Aabpara, Secretariat, Margalla, Shalimar, Golra and Humak police stations arrested eight accused and recovered a huge quantity of narcotics, 18 bottle of liquor,one kalashnikov, one gun and three pistols with ammunition from their possession.
Cases have been registered against the accused, and further investigations are ongoing. Additionally, during a special campaign to apprehend absconders and proclaimed offenders six criminals were also arrested.
SSP operations Muhammad Shoaib Khan stated that Islamabad Police is always actively engaged in ensuring the protection of citizen’s lives and property in the federal capital.
No one will be allowed to disrupt the peace of the citizens. The safety and security of citizens remain the top priority of Islamabad Police, he added.
He urged citizens to immediately report any suspicious activity to the relevant police station or via the emergency helpline Pucar-15 so that, through mutual cooperation between police and the public, the city can be made crime-free.
