14 including five drug peddlers held

ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops apprehended 14 criminals including five drug peddlers involved in criminal activities and recovered five stolen motorbikes, drug, liquor and weapons with ammunition from their possession.
DIG Operations Sohail Zafar Chatha had ordered all zonal officers to curb the crime in their respective areas and arrest those involved in looting innocent people.
Following these directives, a Secretariat police team apprehended five accused involved in illegal criminal activities namely Dawood Abbasi, Intizar Khan, Amjad, Zafar and Intizar and recovered four stolen motorbike, 250 wine bottles, 1200 gram heroin and two pistols with ammunition from their possession.
Similarly, Abpara police team arrested a bootlegers namely Muhammad Munir and recovered 180 liters liquor from his possession. Bani Gala police arrested an accused namely Sher Ali and recovered 1110 gram hashish from his possession. Moreover, Shahzad Town police arrested an accused Isbat and recovered one stolen motorbike from his possession. Kirpa police team arrested accused a drug peddler namely Muhammad Younas and recovered 1520 gram heroin from his posession. Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway. During a special crackdown against proclaimed offenders and court absconders police teams arrested 05 proclaimed offenders and court absconders from different areas of a city. DIG Operations Sohail Zafar Chatha said that the safety of the lives and property of the citizens is our prime responsibility and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard.
