ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have arrested 14 outlaws including three members of a dacoit’s gang and recovered snatched cash, valuables and vehicle from their possession, a police said.
According to details, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan ordered crackdown against criminals including those involved in dacoity incidents. Following these orders, DIG (Operations) Waqar-Ud-Din Syed has directed all zonal officers to accelerate their efforts to curb the crime in the city.
Following these directions, SP (Rurl-Zone) Farooq Amjad Butter constituted special team under supervision of DSP Qasim Niazi including SHO koral Police station Inspector Asjad Mehmood, ASI Afzal Bajwa along with other officials which successfully busted three members’ dacoit gang involved in snatching cash, and other valuables at gun point from the citizens.
The gangsters have been identified as Qayyum, Rashid and Irfan while police team recovered cash, mobile phones, weapons and car used in criminal incidents from their possession.
During the preliminary investigation, they confessed their involvement in incidents of looting people in areas of Koral. Separate cases have been registered against them in Koral police stations and further investigation is underway while police team arrested accused Hamza Abbasi involved in aerial firing and recovered one 30 bore pistol along with ammunition from them.
Meanwhile, CIA police team apprehended two bike lifters namely Hamad and Yasir and recovered stolen motorbike from their possession. Police team also recovered one 9mm pistol from an accused Nadeem Khan. Margallah police arrested accused Sham Masih and recovered 10 liter alcohol from him
Karachi company police arrested three accused Ameer, Bilal Shah and Rawal Saleem and recovered one 30 bore pistol, 115 gram heroin and five liters alcohol from their possession.
Golra police arrested two accused Iraj and Hassan and recovered two pistols from their possession. Tarnol police arrested accused Sadaqat and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession. Cases have been registered against the nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them.
DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to ensure effective policing measures in their respective areas.
