Islamabad: Islamabad Capital Police apprehended 15 criminals from different areas of the city and recovered drugs and weapons with ammunition from their possession.
Following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, Islamabad capital police intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directives, the Kohsar police arrested two accused namely Aimal Khan and Armughan Sohail and recovered 1110 gram heroin and 127 gram Ice from their possession. Likewise, the Phulghran police team arrested three accused namely Mehmood Ul Hassan, Muhammad Shah and Ejaz and recovered 480 gram heroin and two pistols from their possession.
Similarly, the Golra police arrested an accused namely Amir Shahzad and recovered 1300 gram hashish from his possession. While police team also arrested an accused namely Rameez Ijaz involved in illegally selling petrol.
Moreover, the Sangjani police arrested an accused namely Saddam Hussain and recovered one 12 bore gun from his possession. Nilore police arrested two accused namely Khadim Ullah and Raza Ud Din and recovered one 223 bore gun and one 30 bore pistol from their possession.
Furthermore, the Lohi Bher police arrested an accused namely Sajjad and recovered 60 liters liquor from his possession.
Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway. During the special crackdown against court absconders and proclaimed offenders, Islamabad capital police arrested 04 proclaimed offenders from different areas of the city.
IGP Islamabad directed all senior officials for effective crackdown against the accused involved in drug peddling and possessing illegal weapons. The safety of citizens’ lives and property is the prime responsibility of Islamabad capital police. No laxity will be tolerated in this regard, he maintained.
