15 caught, drugs, valuables, kites recovered

ISLAMABAD: SSP Operations Islamabad Dr.Syed Mustafa Tanveer has said that Islamabad police is trying its best to secure the capital and to ensure the safety of its citizens. SSP Operations said that ICT Police is accelerating its all-out efforts to curb the crime. During last 24 hours, he said that 16 criminals were arrested during crackdown against outlaws.
According to details, SP Saddar Zone, Capt. ® Hamza Hamayun constituted a special police team under the supervision of PS Golra’s SHO Sub-Inspector Fazle Khaliq along with other officials which arrested five gamblers. They were identified as Imtiaz, Allah Rakha, Zeshan Ali, Dawar Khan and Muhammad Arif and recovered laptop, computer, cash, mobile and gambling tools from their possession. Further investigation is underway from them.
Moreover, Industrial Area police arrested accused Razaq Mehmood and recovered stolen petrol and diesel from him. PS Koral busted seven accused Abdul Wahab, Waqas, Mubasher, sheryaar, Sunny Abbas and Zain involved in flying kites and recovered kites and string from their possession, while police also arrested two accused Basit Mehmoob and Arshad Mehmood and recovered one 30 bore pistol and 310 gram hashish from their possession. PS Lohibher caught accused Amer Shah and recovered 1150 gram hashish and 30 gram ice from him.
Separate cases have been registered against the nabbed accused while further investigation is underway from the accused. SSP Operations Islamabad Dr.Syed Mustafa Tanveer has appreciated the performance and directed all police officials for high vigilance and monitoring against those involved in anti-social activities. He said that it is the collective responsibility of every person of the society to remain alert against those involved in criminal activities in their surroundings and inform police for action against them.
