ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops, in a bid to tighten noose around anti-social elements, busted 15 proclaimed offenders along three others, while recovering narcotics and weapons from their possession.
According to details, following the directives of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfqar Khan, DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed issued directives to all zonal officers to start a special campaign against proclaimed offenders, court absconders and other criminals involved in anti-social activities. Thus, following these directions, PS Tarnol busted accused Bahar Gul and recovered a 30-bore pistol, PS Sabzi Mandi caught accused Noman and recovered 214 gram hashish while PS Koral nabbed accused Bilawal and recovered 560 gram hashish from him. Separate cases have been registered against all the arrested accused while further investigation is underway from them.
Moreover, during special campaign against proclaimed offenders and court absconders in Capital, Industrial Area Zone cops apprehended six proclaimed offenders and four court absconders. PS Sabzi Mandi busted Abida Rafaqat, proclaimed offender in murder case since 2018 and Waqar Shah, proclaimed offender in dacoity since 2018. Similarly PS Industrial Area booked Babur Arif Maseeh, proclaimed offender since 2015 in 406/34 PPC while Muhammad Tanveer and Zafar Mahdi, proclaimed offenders since 2018 in 420/468/471/506/380 and some Zahid khan, were also arrested.
Likewise, PS Noon arrested accused Muhammad Rafique, proclaimed offender since 2015 in 496A/376 PPC while Ahmed Yar, court absconder since 2017 in 489 F and Raja Muhammad Ashraf who was court absoconder since 2018 in 489 F, were also been arrested. Moreover, Amanullah, court absconder in 13/20/65 PPC, was caught also. PS Koral, on the other hand, booked two proclaimed offenders Muhammad Nadeem and Shakeel Ahmad while PS Bara Kaho nabbed court absconder Shujaat Ali and PS Ramna nabbed two court absconders namely Kamal Khan and Abbas Maseeh.
DIG Operations Islamabad Waqar-ud-Din Syed has said that these social evils would be curbed and those backing drug peddlers and professional beggars would be dealt with iron hands. He further emphasized that this campaign would continue till elimination of al anti-social elements from society.
