ISLAMABAD: Cops apprehended 16 criminals and drug peddlers involved in criminal activities and recovered hashish ,wine , alchole and weapons with ammunition from their possession.
DIG Operations Sohail Zafar Chatha had ordered all zonal officers to curb the crime in their respective areas and arrest those involved in looting innocent people.
Following these directives, a Phulghran police team arrested an accused namely Shahzaib and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession.
Sangjani police team arrested two accused Ahmed Subhan and muhammad ali and recovered one 30 bore pistol and 1120 gram hasish from thier possession.
Similarly, the Karachi Compy police team arrested accused namely Hamza khan and recovered one iron punch from their possession.
Khanna police arrested two drug peddlers namely Asif and Sajjad Sohail and recovered 192 bottles and 240 liters alchole from their possession.
Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway. During a special crackdown against proclaimed offenders and court absconders police teams arrested 10 proclaimed offenders and court absconders from different areas of a city.
DIG Operations Sohail Zafar Chatha said that the safety of the lives and property of the citizens is our prime responsibility and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard.
