16 including nine absconders caught

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital Police apprehended sixteen outlaws including nine offenders from different areas of the city and recovered drugs and weapons with ammunition from their possession.
Following the special directions of IGP Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad capital police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directives, the Bani Gala police team arrested two accused namely Shahwali Khan and Muhammad Ayaz and recovered a 223 bore rifle with ammunition from their possession. Likewise, the Tarnol police team arrested an accused namely Zahid Ullah and recovered 30 bore pistols with ammunition from his possession.
Similarly, the Shahzad Town police team arrested two accused namely Suleman Shah and Muhammad Wali and recovered 30 bore pistols with ammunition from their possession. The Noon police team arrested an accused namely Atif Munir and recovered 515 gram hashish from his possession.
Moreover, the Shams Colony police team arrested an accused namely Fahad Ali and recovered 540 gram hashish from his possession. During the crackdown against proclaimed offenders and court absconders Islamabad capital police teams arrested nine absconders from different areas of the city. Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
IGP Islamabad directed all senior officials for effective crackdown against the accused involved in drug peddling and possessing illegal weapons. The performance of police officials in this regard would be reviewed on a continuous basis, he maintained.
