ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops, while operating against anti-social elements, busted 17 from various parts of the city and recovered hashish, wine as well as weapons from their possession. According to details, IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan ordered crackdown against criminal elements. Following these orders, DIG Operations has directed all zonal officers to accelerate their efforts to curb the crime in the city. As par the directions, SP Rural Zone Farooq Amjad Butter constituted specials police team under the supervision of DSP Rukhsar Medhi Including SHO Sihala Police Station Inspector Mirza Muhammad Gulfraz along with others officials arrested four accused Zakarullah, Yameen Talab, Abrhain Arif and Irfan Mehmood and recovered two 30 bore pistols along with ammunitions, 155 gram hashish and 25 litters wine from their possession. Cases have been registered against the nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them. Furthermore, PS Lohibher team apprehended 03 accused Mohsin Shahzad, Noman Khan and Allah Ditta and recovered three 30 bore pistol along with ammunition from their possession. PS Nilor nabbed accused Aftab Hussain and recovered one 30 bore pistol from him. PS Khanna caught accused Taswer Hussain and recovered one 30 bore pistol from him. PS Sabzi Mandi recovered two 30 bore pistols from the possession of accused Aamir Afzal and Aziz-Ullah. PS Industrial Area team caught two accused including lady namely Sonia bibi and Shahbaz Messiah and recovered 1.140 kilogram hashish from their possession. PS Bara Kaho booked two accused Muhammad Kamran and Khayal Muhammad and recovered 130 gram heroin and 18 liters wine from their possession. PS Kohsar apprehended accused Zareen Gul and recovered one 30 bore pistol from him while PS Aabpara booked Shaukat, involved in illegally cylinder gas filling. Separate cases have been registered against the accused while further legal proceedings are underway against them. DIG Operations Islamabad has appreciated the performance and directed all police officials for high vigilance and monitoring against those involved in anti-social activities. He said that Capital Cops would also safeguard it’s youth from various evils like use of drugs and ensure brighter future of them. He said that it is the collective responsibility of the every person of the society to remain alert against those involved in criminal activities in their surroundings and inform police for action against them.
