18 held during crackdown against crooks

ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops, during crackdown against crooks, arrested 18 while recovering cash, narcotics and weapons from their possession.
According to details, DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed issued directions to all zonal officers for renewed efforts against those involved in anti-social activities. Thus, PS Khana Police caught Muzmal Shahzad and Akash Khalid while recovering looted cash and 50 liter alcohol from their possession. PS Aabpara, on the other hand, held accused Rizwan Maseeh and recovered five bottles wine from him.
Similarly, PS Shams Coloney nabbed some Muhammad Waqas and recovered snatched mobile phone, while cops also arrested Muhammad Pervez and recovered one 30-bore pistol from him. PS Aabpara, on the other hand, caught Rizwan Maseeh and recovered five bottles of wine from him.
Meanwhile, PS Secretariat arrested accused Mateen Waheed and recovered one wine bottle from him. PS Bani Gala, on the other hand, arrested four accused Sajjid, Shahid, Noman, and Pervez and recovered one Kalashnikov, one 12-bore gun and one 30-bore pistol from their possession. PS Koral arrested two accused Saddam and Kamran and recovered two 30-bore pistols from their possession.
Separate cases have been registered against the arrested accused while further investigation is underway. During special crackdown against absconders, Caital Cops also nabbed five proclaimed offenders and court absconders from various area of the city.
DIG Operations Islamabad Waqar-ud-din Syed has said that these social evils would be curbed and those backing those drug peddlers and professional beggars would be dealt with iron hands. He further emphasized that this campaign would continue till elimination of anti-social elements.
