ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops, in a bid to tighten noose around anti-social elements, caught 18 including 5 proclaimed offenders, here this Friday, while recovering narcotics, wine, valuables and weapons from their possession.
According to details, on the special orders of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfqar Khan, DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed had issued directives to all zonal officers, for operating against outlaws. Thus, during the past 24 hours, Capital Cops accelerated their efforts and 18 criminals including 5 wanted proclaimed offenders were nabbed during crackdown.
PS Koral arrested two drug pushers namely Mardeen and Juma Khan while recovering 3.700 kg Hashish and two 30-bore pistols from their possession. PS Golra, on the other hand, caught two land grabbers namely Nadeem Javed and Muhammad Asghar. Similarly, PS Sihala nabbed Saad, involved in illegally cylinder refilling.
Meanwhile, PS Secretariat booked accused Tariq Hussain and recovered a 30-bore pistol from him. PS Bara Kaho booked Waqas and recovered 10 liters alcohol wine from him. PS Karachi company, on the other hand, apprehendded Ghulam Rehman and recovered stolen valuables from him while accused Rameez was also booked with a 30-bore pistol.
Similarly, PS Tarnol caught 3 afghan national Noor Agaha, Zia-Ur-Rehaman and Saddam for illegal residence while PS Khanna arrested accused Naeem and recovered a 30 bore pistol from him. Separate cases have been registered against all nominated accused while further investigation is underway from them. Moreover, during special crackdown against absconders, Capital Cops nabbed five proclaimed offenders and court absconders from various parts of the city.
DIG Operations Islamabad Waqar-ud-din Syed has said that social evils would be curbed and those backing drug peddlers and professional beggars would be dealt with iron hands. He further emphasized that this campaign would be continued until elimination of those social criminals.
