ISLAMABAD: Islamabad capital police apprehended 18 outlaws from different areas of the city and recovered drugs and weapons with ammunition from their possession, a police public relations officer said.
He said that, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad capital police have intensified the crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directives, the Shalimar police team arrested two accused namely Tayyab Shahzad and Muddasir and recovered hookah and flavors from their possession. Golra police team arrested an accused namely Ehsan Mumraiz involved in drug peddling and recovered 600 gram Ice from his possession.
Likewise, the Tarnol police team arrested an accused namely Muhammad Ghazanfar involved in drug peddling and recovered 1050 gram hashish from his possession. The Sangjani police team arrested an accused namely Abdul Aziz involved in drug peddling and recovered 480 gram hashish from his possession.
Similarly, the Industrial Area police team arrested two accused namely Salamat and Nadeem involved in drug peddling and recovered 480 gram heroin and 655 gram hashish from their possession. The Sabzi Mandi police team arrested two accused namely Sajid Khan and Mir Waiz involved in drug peddling and recovered 1080 gram hashish and 220 gram heroin from their possession.
Moreover, the Shahzad Town police team arrested an accused namely Waqar Younas and recovered one 223 bore rifle from his possession. The Koral police team arrested an accused namely Makhra Khan involved in illegally selling petrol. Furthermore, the Khanna police team arrested two accused namely Muhammad Ayaz and Shahzaib involved in drug peddling and possessing illegal weapons and recovered one 30 bore pistol and 335 gram hashish from their possession.
