ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops apprehended 19 criminals including nine drug peddlers involved in illegal criminal activities and recovered drugs, cash, stolen motorbike and weapons with ammunition from their possession. DIG Operations Sohail Zafar Chatha had ordered all zonal officers to curb the crime in their respective areas and arrest those involved in looting innocent people. Following these directives, Pulghran police team arrested two drug peddlers namely Ejaz and Qamer Shahzad and recovered 2125 gram heroin and 120 gram Ice from their possession. Shams colony police team apprehended three accused namely Nasir Mehmood, Kashif Shah and Akeel Hussain and recovered 1360 gram hashish, one dagger, one 30 bore pistol with ammunition from their possession.
Likewise, Kirpa police team arrested an accused Umer Gulzar and recovered 1440 gram heroin and 50 gram Ice from his possession. Women police team apprehended a lady drug peddler namely Balqis and recovered 1120 gram heroin from her possession. Similarly, Bhara Kahu police team arrested two drug peddlers including a lady namely Zakia Bibi and Baber and recovered 2467 gram heroin from their possession, while police team arrested accused Aftab involved in illegally selling petrol. Ramana police team arrested 03 accused namely Gulzar, Khurram Shahzad and Zeeshan and recovered 16 lac cash from their possession. Moreover, Kohsar police team arrested two accused namely Shafi Ullah and Sulman David and recovered two 30 bore pistols along with ammunition from their possession, while police team also arrested accused Majeed Ullah involved in illegally gas filling. Golra police arrested accused Noman and recovered a stolen motorbike from his possession. Furthermore, the Industrial Area police team arrested an accused namely Adnan and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession. Noon police arrested accused Muhammad Mumtaz and recovered one 12 bore gun from his possession. Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway. DIG Operations Sohail Zafar Chatha said that the safety of the lives and property of the citizens is our prime responsibility and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard.
