ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital Police Anti Robbery and Dacoity Unit (ARDU) police team arrested two wanted member of a drug smuggler gang involved in numerous drug smuggling activities and recovered 2,410 gram hashish, 500 gram opium, 105 gram ice and 250 gram heroin from their possession.
Following the special directions of DIG Operations Syed Shehzad Nadeem Bukhari, the Islamabad Capital Police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directions, the Anti Robbery and Dacoity Unit (ARDU) police team used technical and human resources and succeeded in apprehending two wanted members of a drug smuggling gang. The accused was identified as Salahuddin and Azhar Abbas.
Police team also recovered 2,410 gram hashish, 500 gram opium, 105 gram Ice and 250 gram heroin from their possession. Cases were registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
DIG Operations Syed Shehzad Nadeem Bukhari directed all senior officials for effective crackdown against the accused involved in criminal activities and ensured the safety of lives and property of citizens on priority basis.
