RAWALPINDI: Indian troops on late Wednesday initiated ceasefire violation in Kuiratta sector along LOC, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said. The Army’s media wing added that Pakistan Army troops responded befittingly. Reports of heavy losses to Indian troops in men and material. During intense exchange of fire two soldiers Lance Naik Tariq, age 38 years and Sepoy Zaroof, age 31 years, while fighting valiantly embraced martyrdom.
Mid November, five civilians and a Pakistan Army soldier were martyred in “unprovoked and indiscriminate” firing by Indian troops from across the restive Line of Control (LoC) in several areas of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), civil and military officials said.
