Islamabad: Islamabad capital police apprehended 21 outlaws from different areas of the city and recovered drug, weapons with ammunition from their possessiond.
Following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad capital police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directives, the Aabpara police team arrested an accused namely Ilyas Masih and recovered 150 gram heroin from his possession. Bhara Kahu police arrested an accused namely Sulman and recovered stolen valuables from his possession, while police team also arrested an accused namely Nayyab involved in illegally gas refilling.
Similarly, the Ramna police team arrested an accused namely Akmal Shehzad involved in possessing illegal weapons and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession. The Industrial Area police team arrested an accused namely Muhammad Zameer involved in possessing illegal weapons and recovered one 30 bore pistol with ammunition from his possession.
Moreover, the Noon police team arrested an accused namely Muhammad Nabi involved in possessing illegal weapons and recovered one 30 bore pistol with ammunition from his possession.
During the crackdown against proclaimed offenders and court absconders, the Islamabad capital police team arrested 15 absconders and proclaimed offenders from different areas of the city. Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
IGP Islamabad directed all senior officials for effective crackdown against the accused involved in drug peddling and possessing illegal weapons. The performance of police officials in this regard would be reviewed on a regular basis, he maintained.

He further directed all zonal officers to intensify the crackdown against the criminal elements. “Safety and security of the citizens is our foremost priority and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard” he added.
