LAHORE: Amidst the vibrant halls of the Confucius Institute at the University of the Punjab (CIPU), the 23rd Chinese Bridge Competition unfolded as a splendid testament to talent, cultural exchange, and the celebration of Chinese language and culture.
The competition included language competency, knowledge of China, Chinese cultural skills, and comprehensive aptitude. Participants first compete in a local preliminary competition and the winners are invited to semi-final and final contests in China.
Candidates are very passionate about participating in the event. They have performed very enthusiastically.
Abdullah Lodhi claimed first position at the competition, securing a cash prize of Rs. 40,000. Following closely behind, Muhammad Manzoor clinched second place and was awarded Rs. 15,000 while Saqib Ali and Muhammad Irfan Aslam shared the third position, each receiving a cash prize of Rs. 5,000 for their achievements. In addition to the top positions, Fiza Minhail and Waqar Ali were honored with Excellence Awards for their exceptional contributions to the competition. The Confucius Institute extended its heartfelt congratulations to all participants for their hard work and dedication, wishing them a prosperous journey ahead. The event was hosted by Abdullah Ze Hasham, a Chinese language teacher, whose expertise and enthusiasm added a touch of elegance to the proceedings.
