PESHAWAR: At least 245 persons were taken into custody by police in Peshawar for violating Section 144 imposed to curb the spread of coronavirus.
According to details, police conducted an operation in Peshawar Saddar, Charsadda Road, GT Road, and other areas and arrested 245 persons for violating Section 144.
Police sources said that most of the persons who were detained were shopkeepers who opened their shops despite lockdown imposed to stem the spread of the coronavirus.
