ISLAMABAD: According to details, Islamabad Capital Police apprehended 29 outlaws from different areas of the city and recovered a huge cache of drugs, stolen motorcycles and weapons with ammunition from their possession.
Following the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO), Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital Police have intensified their crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate crime from the city.
Following these directives, the Kohsar police team arrested three accused namely Muhammad Irshad, Iftar Ali and Haider Ali and recovered three 30 bore pistols with ammunition from their possession. The Industrial Area police team arrested three accused namely Essa Khan, Nawab Khan and Adnan and recovered 20 liter alcohol and two 30 bore pistols with ammunition from their possession. Noon police team arrested the accused namely Saeed Ur Rehman and recovered one dagger from his possession, while police team also arrested the accused namely Muhammad Salman involved in illegally refilling gas cylinders.
Likewise, the Khanna police team arrested an accused namely Umar and recovered 1130 gram hashish from his possession. The Humak police team arrested an accused namely Abdullah involved in drug peddling and recovered 3020 gram hashish from his possession.
Similarly, the Lohi Bher police team arrested two accused namely Salman and Sana Ullah and recovered two 223 bore rifles from their possession. Bha-ra Kahu police team arrested two accused namely Shahrukh and Samer Bashir and recovered two 30 bore pistols with ammunition from their posses-sion. Shahzad Town police team arrested an accused namely Salman and recovered 60 gram hashish from his possession.
More-ever, the Margalla police team arrested four drug peddlers namely Nadeem Shahzad, Shakeel Shahzad, Baghi Shah and Mohsin Shahzad and recovered 4500 grams of heroin from their possession. The Police team also arrested bike lifter namely Hamza and recovered three stolen motorcycles from his possession.
During the crackdown against court absconders and proclaimed offenders, the Islamabad Capital Police team arrested nine absconders from various areas of the city. Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
CPO/DIG Operations Islamabad Syed Shehzad Nadeem Bukhari directed all senior officials for an effective crackdown against the accused involved in drug peddling and possessing illegal weapons and said that the safety of the lives and property of the citizens is our prime responsibility. He maintained that the performance of police officials in this regard would be reviewed on a continuous basis.
