ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police has arrested three accused involved in robberies and motorcycle theft incidents. Following orders of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Ahsan Younas had categorically directed all zoanl SPs to arrest those criminals involved in looting people on gun point and recover looted items.
Following the directions, SP Saddar Tasawwar Iqbal constituted special police teams in the zone. One of the police team of Shalimar police station under supervision of SDPO Shalimar Rana Hussain Tahir headed by SHO Shalimar Tipu Sultan with other police officials arrested three accused involved in robberies and bike theft incidents namely Tasawwar Hussain s/o Abdul Aziz, Yasir Mehmood s/o Dost Muhammad and Muhammad Babar Ali s/o Sajjad Hussain. Shalimar police team has also recovered four motorcycles and gold ornaments from their possession.
During the preliminary investigation the accused have confessed their involvement in six cases of Shalimar and Ramna police stations. Further investigation is underway.
IGP Islamabad Muhammad Ahsan Younas has appreciated this performance of the Shalimar police team and further directed all zonal SPs to intensify the security in their relevant areas and curb the crime to secure the city.
