Adding to the spate of crimes against women in the country, another horrific incident has come to light. This time it is from Banka in Bihar.
The bodies of three minor sisters were recovered by police.
The girls aged between 10 and 16 years were allegedly raped before being killed in their home in Karada village.
Locals from the village said that the girls were asleep when the perpetrators barged into their home. The parents of the girls were away when the incident took place.
Police have recovered an axe and other sharp-edged weapons from the spot. They suspect that these weapons were used to assault the girls.
Police have detained two persons in connection with the incident and are interrogating them.
Police are now awaiting the post-mortem report.
Superintendent of Police (Banka) Chandan Kushwaha, confirmed the incident and said that a manhunt has been launched to track down other culprits.
