3 of a family killed in Rahim Yar Khan road mishap

RAHIM YAR KHAN: At least three people were killed and five others sustained injuries due to a collision between a car and trailer in Punjab’s Rahim Yar Khan district.

The tragic incident occurred on the M5 Motorway near Zahir Peer Interchange when a speeding car went out of control due to a tyre burst and rammed into the trailer.

As a result of the collision between the vehicles, three members of a family died, while five others were critically injured.

According to rescue officials, women and children are also among the dead and injured, adding that the injured have been shifted to the hospital for medical assistance.

In a statement, Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi has expressed grief over the loss of precious lives in a traffic accident in Rahim Yar Khan.

The chief minister prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed souls in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved families to bear the loss with fortitude. – Agencies
