35 suspects rounded up in grand operation at City Zone

ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops on Thursday conducted a grand targeted combing and search operation in Banigala and Secretariat areas to beef up the security in these areas and to curb the crime.

Following orders of the IGP Islamabad Qazi Jamil-ur-Rehman, an effective operation is being conducted in different areas of the city against those involved in anti-social activities. Following his directions, the SSP Operations told that a grand targeted search and combing operation was conducted in the various areas of Banigala and Secretariat Police Station. This operation was supervised by SP City Rana Abdul Wahab including ASP Haider Ali, DSP Raja Tahir, SHOs, officials from different police stations of city Zone.
A total of 493 persons were checked during this operation while 205 houses, 09 motorbikes were shifted police station. A total of 35 suspects shifted to police station. IGP Islamabad Qazi Jamil-ur-Rehman and DIG Operations Afzaal Ahmad Kausar have appreciated this performance.

Syed Mustafa Tanweer said that Islamabad police would leave no stone unturned to root to curb the crime and the future of the young generation would be protected by curbing ugly business of drugs. He said that such operations would continue in future.
