RAWALPINDI: The police foiled and food department in joint actions various bids to smuggled 2600 bags flour and arrested four accused in separate actions in different areas of Rawalpindi district on Thursday.
Potohar Division Police and food department during joint actions seized two vehicles with 1400 bags smuggled flour and arrested drivers of both vehicles.
Saddar Wah Police foiled a bid to smuggle 1300 bags flour, impounded a vehicle and arrested the driver identified as Abbas.
Taxila Police arrested driver identified as Aakash during an attempt to smuggle 100 bags flour and impounded the vehicle.
Separate cases in all incidents were registered at concerned police stations and investigations were underway.
