4 booked for selling fake petroleum products, vehicles

ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops’ PS Tarnol, in a bid to tighten noose around anti-social elements, booked four for sale of vehicles on fake documents and substandard petroleum products.
According to details, following the directives of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar and DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed to accelerate efforts against anti-social elements, SP Saddar Zone Sarfaraz Ahmed Virk constituted special teams under the supervision of DSP Saddar Circle Khalid Mehmud Awan and SHO Tarnol Insepctor Arshad Ali. The teams including ASI Muhammad Ishaq, ASI Muhammad and other cop officials, arrested two accused Rehan and Nur while recovering vehicles along with it’s fake documents. Moreover, during preliminary investigation, the accused have confessed of selling vehicles to the simpleton through fake documents.

Meanwhile another police team nabbed Tauseef Khan and Asif for selling sub-standard petroleum products using fake monograms of Pakistan State Oil (PSO). Police recovered 350 liter diesel and other petroleum products while a vehicle having fake monograms of PSO was also impounded.
Separate cases have been registered against the accused while further investigation is underway. DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed has appreciated the overall performance and directed for effective policing measures in the city.
