GHAZNI, (Afghanistan): Five persons, all civilians, were injured Thursday as four rockets hit Ghazni city, the capital of eastern Ghazni province, amid Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani’s visit to the city, confirmed an army statement released here.
“Five civilians were injured after four rockets fired by Taliban insurgents slammed into Ghazni city,” the statement said.
The attack, according to locals, took place amid the president’s visit to the city to inspect the situation of the restive province.–Agencies
