57 officers of Islamabad Police elevated to next ranks

ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi has approved the promotion of 57 officers of Islamabad Police to the next ranks and said that departmental promotion is a reflection of increased responsibilities and trust. In this regard, a meeting of the Departmental Promotion Committee of Islamabad Police was held to ensure merit and transparency in the promotion process for vacant positions.
In the meeting, senior police officers reviewed the records of officers from various ranks who met the required standards. The committee approved the promotion of 20 Head Constables to Assistant Sub-Inspectors, 26 Assistant Sub-Inspectors to Sub-Inspectors and 11 Sub-Inspectors to Inspectors ranks.
IGP Islamabad emphasized that departmental promotion is a symbol of increased responsibilities and trust and that promotion is the fundamental right of every police officer.
He further expressed hope that the newly promoted officers will carry out their duties with sincerity and integrity and will serve with full energy and vigilance to uphold the reputation of the department of martyrs and heroes. He added that the welfare of the police force is among his top priorities.
All officers who have passed the departmental promotion courses will be promoted on the basis of merit and transparency according to their seniority against vacant posts. This process will continue until all vacant positions are filled.
