ISLAMABAD: Margalla Police traced a theft incident at the residence of the Nawab of Bahawalpur family in Sector F-8/3 by utilizing modern technology, Safe City cameras and human intelligence, and arrested six accused allegedly involved in the incident. Around 70 to 80 percent of the stolen property has been recovered from the accused, while the investigation has been expanded to recover the remaining stolen property and arrest other accused involved in the incident.
SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza said that Margalla Police traced the incident through modern technology, Safe City cameras and human intelligence. He said that indiscriminate action against criminal elements involved in depriving citizens of their valuable assets is continuing and that the arrested accused would be brought to justice in accordance with the law.
He further said that all available resources are being utilized to recover the remaining stolen property and arrest other accused, while operations against criminal elements would continue in a more effective manner to protect the lives, property and valuable assets of citizens.
Meanwhile, joint grand combing and search operations by Islamabad and Rawalpindi Police are also continuing on the directions of IGP Islamabad Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry. The operations are being conducted in different areas of Islamabad and Rawalpindi to take effective action against criminal, suspicious and law-breaking elements, protect citizens and further improve the law and order situation.
Islamabad Police patrolling units and special squads remain active across the city, while effective checking and surveillance are being carried out at major roads, entry and exit points and sensitive locations. During the search operations, suspicious individuals, vehicles and motorcycles are being checked, along with verification of identities and relevant documents, while legal action is being taken against criminal and law-breaking elements.
Islamabad Police has appealed to citizens to cooperate fully with police during checking and verification. Citizens are also urged to immediately report any suspicious person, vehicle or activity in their surroundings so that timely action can be taken.
