Makran: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) have conducted an operation near the Makran coastal line, acting on a tip-off, that led to the seizure of a substantial quantity of narcotics.
According to a spokesperson, after hours of covert surveillance, the ANF tracked a speedboat heading towards the Gulf of Oman and an operation in the sea near Jiwani, a coastal border town between Pakistan and Iran.
A total of 60 kilograms of of highly addictive crystal methamphetamine, commonly known as ice, was recovered during the operation, with the narcotics meticulously concealed in various packets and boxes, as reported by local media.
The suspects, however, managed to escape, prompting authorities to continue their search.
The spokesperson noted that despite limited personnel and resources, this operation marked a significant success for the Anti-Narcotics Force, which remains committed to combating drug trafficking.
A case has been registered against the suspects under the Anti-Narcotics Act, and further investigations have commenced. –Agencies
