ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have arrested 74 persons during snap checking in last week and recovered 61 pistols, three Kalashnikovs, six guns, five daggers and 457 rounds from them.
Following the directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Qazi Jamil ur Rehman, Islamabad police have accelerated efforts to nab those persons involved in criminal activities. Zonal Superintendents of Police (SPs), Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs) and Station House Officers (SHOs) are conducting snap checking themselves along with police teams and ensuring effective policing.
During the past one week, Islamabad police arrested 74 persons during snap checking in last week and recovered 61 pistols, three Kalashnikovs, six guns, five daggers and 457 rounds from them.
The overall snap checking efforts are being monitored by the DIG (Operations) Afzaal Ahmed Kausar and the purpose is to ensure effective security and protection to the lives and property of the citizens. Owing these efforts, crime rate is also declining in the city and such endeavors will continue.
10 including a lady of 3 dacoit gangs held
ISLAMABAD, October 11, 2021: Islamabad Sihala and Koral police have arrested 10 criminals including a lady of three dacoit gangs from different areas of the city.
According to the details, two different incidents of dacoitees happened in areas of Sihala and Koral police stations. DIG Operations Afzal Ahmad Kausar took notice of both the cases and assinged the task to SP Rural Muhammad Usman Tippu to arrest the accused and recover the looted valuables.
SP Rural constituted two police teams headed by SHO Sihala Mirza Gulfraz and SHO Koral Mian Khurram Shehzad alongwith other officials. Sihala police team arrested five accused of a dacoits gang with the help of modern technology. They have been identified as Muhammad Abdullh, Nadar Hassan Tanseeb Ali, Muhammad Zeshan, and Muhammad Azman. The police team recovered vehicle, laptop, Mobile phone, Cash, Camera,LED, UPS from their possession.
Koral police team traced and arrested five members of dacoit gang including lady with the help of modern technology and safe city cameras. They have been identified as Farooq, Muhammad, Ayub,Yasir and lady Jaweria and recovered weapons along with ammunition used in crime from their possession.
Cases against all the arrested accused have been registered and further investigation is Underway from them. During the initial interrogation, they confessed their involvement in several incidents of dacoity and street crime in twin cities and Punjab.
