ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have arrested nine outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered narcotics, wine, arm ammunition and stolen valuables.
Following directions of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Ahsan Younas renewed efforts were underway to curb crime in the city. Following these directions a police team of Tarnol police station arrested a drug peddler namely Basit Ali and recovered 1050 gram hashish.
Sabzi Mandi police arrested accused Rameez and recovered one 30 bore pistol from him.
Similarly,Lohibher police arrested accused Khurram Shahzad and recovered one bottle wine from him while police also arrested accused Jabber and recovered stolen valuable. Bani Gala police arrested accused Kafait-Ullah and recovered stolen valuables from him.
Koral police arrested two accused involved in bike lifting and recovered bike and weapon used in crime and police arrested accused Muhammad Riaz involved in murder case. Another police team of Koral arrested accused Ali Mardan and recovered one 9mm pistol from him. Separate cases have been registered against the nabbed persons and further investigation is underway.
The IGP has appreciated the performance and directed all police officials for high vigilance and monitoring against those involved in anti-social activities. He said that Islamabad Police would also safeguard its youth from various evils like use of drugs and ensure brighter future of them.
He said that it is collective responsibility of every person of the society to remain alert against those involved in criminal activities in their surroundings and inform police for action against them.
