18 rounded up with drugs & valuables

ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops, in a bid to tighten noose around anti-social elements, rounded up 18 including six drug pushers, from various areas of the city, and recovered narcotics, wine, stolen bike and weapons from them.
According to details, following the directives and able guidance of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan, renewed efforts have been underway for curbing bootlegging and drug peddling activities in the city. DIG Operations Waqar-ud-din Syed has also been conducting special meetings with heads of police stations while directing them to accelerate efforts against anti-social elements.
Thus, SP Saddar Muhammad Omer Khan constituted a team under the supervision of SDPO Khalid Mehmood Awan including SHO PS Golra SI Shabbir Ahmed. The given team arrested five accused Faisal Shahzad, Adnan, Suleman, Hamza Khan and Bilal, involved in aerial firing, while recovering a 30-bore pistol along with ammunition from their possession.
CIA team, on the other hand, caught four accused namely Zeeshan, Hamza Haider, Hamad and Haider and recovered stolen motorbike from their possession while PS Tarnol police nabbed three bootleggers namely Ishfaq, Rehman and Saad-ul-Rasheed and recovered wine from their possession.
Similarly, PS Bara Kaho nabbed a bootlegger namely Bilal Jabber and recovered nine wine bottles from him. PS Lohibher, on the other hand, busted Javed, involved in theft instances, and recovered stolen valuables from him. PS Margalla, on the other hand, booked Aftab and Qaisar and recovered stolen valuables from their possession. Similarly, PS Noon apprehended a drug pusher namely Wali Sher and recovered 1220 grams hashish from him while PS Shahzad Town arrested accused Aamir and recovered 2.200 kilogram hashish from him. Separate case have been registered against the accused while further investigation is underway.
DIG Operations Islamabad Waqar-ud-din Syed has appreciated the performance of the cops while directing all police officials for high vigilance and monitoring against those involved in anti-social activities. He said that Capital Cops would also safeguard it’s youth from various evils like use of drugs and ensure brighter future for them. He said that it was the collective responsibility of every person of the society to remain alert against those involved in criminal activities in their surroundings and inform police for action against about the same.
