Cops book 30, recover stolen car, arms

ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops, in a bid to tighten noose around anti-social elements, booked 30, from various parts of the city, while recovering stolen car, valuables, narcotics, wine, and weapons from their possession.
According to details, following the directives and guidance of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan, renewed efforts are underway to curb bootlegging and drug peddling activities in the city. DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed has conducted special meetings with heads of police stations and directed them to accelerate efforts against anti-social elements.

Thus, following these orders, SP Industrial Area Zubair Ahmed Sheikh constituted police team under the supervision of SDPO Industrial-Area Zohaib Nusrullah Ranjah including SHO Industrial-Area Main Khurram along with others officials, to take action against crooks while arresting four namely Bilal Ahmed, Muhammad Ali, Wasif Ali and Muhammad Ali and recovered huge quantity of kites and metal strings. The team also arrested a drug pusher namely Banras and recovered 460 gram hashish. A proclaimed offender namely Baber Arif was also caught and a stolen vehicle recovered from him. Furthermore th cops apprehended nine suspects also.

PS Noon’s ASI Barkat busted a bootleggers namely Shakeel Maseeh and recovered 35 bottles wine from him. PS Secretariat caught accused Tariq Jan and recovered stolen valuable from him. PS Bani Gala nabbed two accused Iqbal and Abid Hussain and recovered 150 gram hashish and two bottles wine from their possession whereas PS Tarnol police booked Raisat and recovered one 30 bore pistol from him. Similarly, PS Khanna apprehended accused Saddaqat Khan and recovered one 30 bore pistol from him whereas PS Lohibher arrested three accused namely Farooq, Shah Zaib and Muhammad Yousaf and recovered huge quantity of kites and metal strings. Separate cases have been registered against the accused while further legal proceeding is underway against them.

Moreover, during special inspection of the whole city, cops also nabbed 22 professional beggars along three proclaimed offenders. DIG Operations Islamabad Waqar-ud-Din Syed has appreciated the performance while directing all police officials for high vigilance and monitoring against those involved in anti-social activities. He said that Capital Cops would also safeguard it’s youth from various evils like use of drugs and ensure brighter future of them. He said that it is the collective responsibility of every person of the society to remain alert against those involved in criminal activities in their surroundings and to inform the cops for action against them.
