Capital Cops hold 4th e-Kutchery to address public complaints

ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops on Wednesday held fourth ‘e-kutchery’ in the city with an aim to resolve public complaints and address their issues by ensuring justice to them at their door step as per vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan listened to the problems of citizens in this `e-kutchery’ held at City Zone and assured to resolve public problems on merit. Senior police officials of Islamabad including DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed, SP (City Zone) Omer Khan, President PTI Islamabad Fareed ur Rehman and representatives of traders’ community participated in this e-kutchery. lication.
IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar khan said that Islamabad police have the responsibility to serve the people and this responsibility will be ensured with commitment during this phase of COVID-19. He said that these open kutcheries are being arranged to ensure justice and resolve public complants on merit as per vision of Prime Minister of Pakistan.
IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar khan said that Islamabad police created awareness among citizens to adopt precautionary measures and also doing its best to ensure protection to the lives and property of the citizens. He said that many of policemen had contracted coronavirus as our force was performing duties on front line. Despite all these issues, he said that morale of the force was high and Islamabad police would face all such challenges with courage and to serve the people.
Two of our policemen recently embraced martyrdom in the line of duty but efforts to curb activities of anti-social elements would remain continue, he added. On a complaint of a citizen, IGP Islamabad directed to immediately suspend ASI Zafar Iqbal Ranjha and directed SP (City Zone) to hold inquiry into it. Islamabad police chief awarded cash prize of Rs. 10,000 and commendation certificates to SHO Bhara Kau police station Haider Ali and SHO Secretariat police station Syed Asim Ghaffar.
The IGP said that successful policing was not possible without cooperation of the citizens and he also thanked the philanthropists and volunteers who coordinated with police and ensured and help to the poor during this phase of COVID-19. He also thanked the citizens who attended the kuthcery and were assisting for effective policing.
The participants of this `e-kutchery’ appreciated the role of Islamabad police in creating awareness among citizens against COVID-19 besides maintaining law and order and also ensuring fair distribution of ration to the deserving people with the help of philanthropists. They also lauded the front line role of Islamabad police in fight against COVID-19.
He also urged the traders’ community to ensure implementation on SOPs after easing of lockdown as the precautionary measures are the only solution to curb coronavirus. The IGP said that effective action was underway against criminal elements and entire force was committed to curb activities of anti-social elements.
The IGP also asked the policemen to adopt decent attitude during interaction with people and follow policy of ‘Phele Salam – Phir Kalam’. He said that cooperation of pubic with police would help to identify the issues and resolve them.
