CJP takes notice of threats to Justice Isa

ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Gulzar Ahmed on Thursday has taken notice of a viral video clip containing derogatory and contemptuous language against Justice Faez Isa case.
In the viral video, a man identified as Agha Iftikhar-ud-Din Mirza can be seen giving threats to the Supreme Court judge.
According to a statement issued by the apex court, the CJP has fixed the hearing of the case tomorrow [Friday] morning before Bench-1 in Islamabad. The video contained derogatory, contemptuous and scandalous language against the institution of the judiciary and the honourable judges, read the statement. During the hearing of a case pertaining to Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane crash, the top judge has sought reply from Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) in two weeks. He said that the authority is issuing fake licenses to pilots for money.Justice Gulzar expressed shock over the facts shared by Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar in National Assembly (NA) session. The leader had blamed pilot and CAA behind the crash and told that there was no fault in 15-year-old plane, he remarked. It is to be mentioned here that in total, licenses of 262 pilots were said to be fake, against which PIA CEO Air Marshal Arshad Malik had summoned his legal and flight operations teams to decide upon appropriate course of action.
