Eleven including eight drug pushers caught

ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops, in a bid to tighten noose around anti-social elements, caught 11 including eight drug pushers, from various parts of the city, and recovered wine, narcotics and weapons from their possession. According to details, IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan has ordered crackdown against criminals especially drug pushers. Thus, DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed has directed all zonal officers to accelerate their efforts to curb the crime in the whole city and said that no laxity would be tolerated in this regard. Therefore, SP Saddar Zone Sarfraz Ahmed Virk constituted a police team under the supervision of ASP Rana Abdul Wahab including SHO Ramana police Station, ASI Muhmmad Ishfaq along with other arrested a lady accused namely Ayinke and recovered 70 bottles wine and beer from him. Furthermore, PS Aabpara booked bootleggers namely Nabeel and recovered 20 liters wine from him. PS Bara Kaho busted four accused namely Kashif Hussain, Rizwan, Tasdaq and Jawad and recovered 470 gram hashish, four wine bottles and one 30 bore pistol from their possession. PS Golra nabbed accused Muhammad Adil and recovered 10 liter alcohol from him. Shams Colony police arrested accused Muhammad Nasir involved in illegally cylinder filling. PS Shahzad Town apprehended accused Junaid and recovered one 30 bore pistol from him. PS Khanna, on the other hand, arrested a drug pusher namely Sohail and recovered 1120 gram hashish from him.
Separate cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them. DIG Operations Islamabad Waqar-ud-Din Syed has appreciated the performance and directed all police officials for high vigilance and monitoring against those involved in anti-social activities. He said that it is the collective responsibility of the every person of the society to remain alert against those involved in criminal activities in their surroundings and inform police for action against them.
